Santa's Travels

Santa and his sleigh have been travelling the streets of Worcester, bringing Christmas cheer and
raising funds for charity. Accompanied on one evening by Melanie Eastwood, the Worcester Carnival
Queen.

The sleigh is entirely organised by volunteers and, although the weather is about to turn ‘sub-zero’
with ‘arctic’ conditions through into next week, Worcester Lions Club and their supporters are
determined to continue to help Santa visit as many areas as possible.

Santa has already visited the Nunnery Lane, Berkeleys and Blanquettes Avenue areas. On Thursday
he will visit St. Peters and then the following week the Henwick, Lower Wick and Harleys areas,
before finishing his travels this year in Claines. The remaining dates are:

Thursday 8th St. Peters, off St Peter’s Drive
Tuesday 13th Henwick area, north/south of the Martley Rd
Thursday 15th Lower Wick, Canada Way area
Friday 16th The Harleys, Warndon – near Worcester Royal
Monday 19th Claines, Cornmeadow Lane area

Full details of all the routes and latest updates can be found on the dedicated Sleigh Facebook page

A new feature that is proving very popular this year is the Live Tracking of Santa’s travels on
Facebook. As, Alison Lane, the Lions Sleigh co-ordinator explained “We haven’t been able to visit as
many areas this year, so Live Tracking has allowed people to come out and find Santa”.

Another first is having an online GoFundMe Santa Sleigh Appeal so those who ‘don’t carry cash’ can
also donate if they wish https://gofund.me/840fa7bf
