Arrest made after serious assault in Redditch

A man has been arrested following a serious assault in Redditch.

Around 2.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 January) officers received a report of an assault on Bates Hill.

Officers and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene.

One person was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 19-year-old man from Redditch has been arrested on suspicion of attempt murder and remains in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing.
